The government of Sabon Gari Local government area of Kaduna state has continue to clampdown on bars and other alcoholic centers in the area. The local government has recently demolished shops and other centers selling alcohols saying that the shops belongs to the local government.
The Local government first obtained court warrants and relevant permissions to closed down all shops and centers confirmed to the sales of alcoholic drinks. It has also notified the shop owners to vacate the places before embarking on the exercise.
The staffs of the local government in collaboration with the court officials, move around the entire Sabon Gari local government in Kaduna state to fish out hidden places selling alcohols and bars and subsequently lock them.
Some of the shop owners threatened to fight back with lawsuit, but already the officials of the Sabon Gari local government has obtained valid court orders to closed down on all shops selling or processing alcohol in the entire Sabon Gari local government area of Kaduna state.
