Popular Nigerian Minister Laid To Rest.

Dr. Mahmud Tukur, a previous Minister of Commerce and Industry and the main Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University Kano (BUK) has been covered in Yola, as indicated by Islamic rituals. 

He kicked the bucket in Abuja, on Friday, after a short ailment. Tukur, who was brought into the world in 1939 in Yola, Adamawa state, Northeastern Nigeria, got his first degree in Quite a while and Political science from the University of Wales. 

Throughout his scholarly vocation, he was the Director of the Institute of Administration, A.B.U., Zaria, and later the primary Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK). 

In his other vocation as a community worker, Tukur served on the Adebo and Udoji National Wage Reviews and the Constitution Drafting Committee of 1976, individual from the National Constitutional Conference 1994/1995 and of the Vision 2010 Committee 1997. 

In 1984, he was delegated Minister of Commerce and Industry in the military system of Maj.- Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. 

Until his passing, he was the Chairman, Fukarabe Industries Limited, Director of Cadbury, Nigeria plc, and the organizer of Policy Analysis Limited. 

Tukur is made due by three spouses, nine youngsters, and numerous grandkids, just as siblings and sisters. 

Unmistakable among his siblings is Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the previous Governor of outdated Gongola state, once Minister of Industries, and previous National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
