Buhari tackles southern govs on open grazing ban
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday expressed a strong resolve to address the conflicts of herders and farmers for a permanent solution.

The Presidency insisted that Buhari's action was before the ban on open grazing by the Southern Governors Forum.
The statement noted that it is very clear that there was no solution offered from the governors' resolutions to the farmer-herder clashes “that there have been continuing in our country for generations”.
Over 100 persons killed in Benue
Over 100 persons were at the weekend reportedly killed in a coordinated bloody attack on four Council Wards in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, LGA, by a joint militia gang made up of armed herdsmen and loyalist of the late militia leader, Terwase Agwaza alais Gana.

Vanguard gathered from a reliable source in the area who spoke on condition of the anonymity that the gangs had between Saturday and Sunday invaded and sacked serveral communities in Yooyo, Utange, Mbatura/Mberev and Mbayongo Council Wards in the LGA.
