It is no more news that the Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola and the immediate Past Governor of the State, Rauf Aregbesola are having serious issues with each other in the State. It was gathered that The recent Ward Congress in the State does not favour Aregbesola's Loyalists. Meanwhile, Aregbesola filed Petition against how the ward Congress was conducted in the State but his Petition was struck out by the National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
However, Aregbesola still maintains his championship in the State. If Oyetola should contest Governorship election without Aregbesola's support, he may not win the Governorship election. Though, Governor Oyetola, has every resources to influence the forthcoming Governorship election but he needs the support of Aregbesola to realise his Second term Governorship Polls.
Governor Oyetola should make some moves over the former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola. One of the moves Governor Oyetola can make over Aregbesola is to win the heart of Aregbesola's loyalists into his camp. If the Governor can achieve this, Aregbesola will not have any option than to support the him. The reason is that Aregbesola will make use of his Loyalists to work against Oyetola's Ambition but if Governor Oyetola could win the hearts of Aregbesola's loyalists, the Second term Governorship election will be an easy ride for the him.
Another Smart move that Governor Oyetola can make is to win the heart of the electorates in the State. Power belong to the People of the State. The Percentage of Politicians is not up to Ten Percent. If the Governor can win the heart of electorates before the forthcoming Polls, then the may not much Problems to win his second term as Governor of the State. The only way the Governor can achieve this, is by engaging in the Programs that everyone could benefit from it.
It should be recalled that Governor Oyetola and Aregbesola's fight is all about the leadership of the Party in the State. The Leaders are not having Personal grudges with each other and the rifts will be settled but it is better the Leaders settle the crisis on time before it is too late. If the Rifts between Governor Oyetola and Aregbesola could not be settled on time, the Governor will be at the detriment. At the same time, Aregbesola will also lose, because he might not be able to continue his Position, if he cannot deliver his state for APC.
