On 6th July Magu was invited by the Department of State Security Service for questioning concerning N550billion recovered funds along side other accusations which includes possession of properties in foreign country.
President Muhammad Buhari set up panel to consider various accusations levelled against the suspended EFCC Boss Magu. The panel which is headed by Justice Ayo Salami was set up looking into the matter raised by the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Salami that the accused Magu is diverting recovered funds.
President Muhammad Buhari had through the AGF announced the suspension of Magu who has been acting as the Chairman of the EFCC and thereafter appointed Muhammad Umar to head the Commission until the case is finally concluded.
