The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has given confirmation that the outgoing volunteers will receive their June stipends this week.
Madam Minister made this confirmation yesterday July 19, 2020 while playing guest to Deutsche Welle (DW) facebook live video (Hausa version). Deutsche Welle (DW) is a Germany's international broadcasting media organization .
While answering questions, Hon. Sadiya said President Muhammadu meant well for the youths of Nigeria and has created a social programme to help unemployed graduates with opportunities in all sectors of the economy like farming, health, teaching, creative industry and other sectors.
Meanwhile, the Minister said that all is now set to commence the payment of June stipends to beneficiaries.
The statement in part reads:
"Everything concerning stipends have been perfected and subsequently refer to the Ministry of finance for payment and volunteers will soon receive their stipends this week".
She however, disclosed that those beneficiaries who have backlogs, are likely those who absconded from their primary place of assignment deliberately and were reported.
She talks about the ongoing Npower batch C registration which she said may eventually close apparently next week to give rooms for authentication and subsequent selection of eligible applicants.
