The ex governor of Bauchi state, His excellency Dr Malam Isa Yuguda is a leading icon in the Bauchi state politics. He have thousands of followers within an outside the state having ruled the state as governor for several years. Malam Isa Yuguda is considered as an icon by the people who are faithful to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This is no doubt a wonderful reputation for any Nigerian politician.

The ex governor of Bauchi state, Malam Isa cut short his vacation and returned to the Bauchi state capital to validate his membership of the All Progressives Congress APC. Hundreds of supporters and followers accompanied him to the validation venue. Most of them chanting and praising him for his services rendered to the good people of Bauchi state.

There are currently many supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite that the current governor of Bauchi state His Excellency Malam Bala Abdulqadir Mohammed is from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). What seems to be surprising is the fact that the current governor of Bauchi personally received the ex governor from the Bauchi state international airport.

Ever since the ex chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress was suspended, the chairman of the caretaker committee of the party, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni has been bringing new settings and modelling of the ruling party. He introduced the idea of membership revalidation in which the president, Mr Muhammadu Buhari has to go to his hometown of Daura in order to revalidate his membership.

Some notable figures and stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress has laid out their concerns. Among the chieftains of the party who criticized the exercise were Mr Bisi Akande, Adams Oshiomhole and many others. The revalidation exercise is currently in progress in almost all the states of the federation.
