Kano government bans Salah festivities
The Kano State Government has announced the suspension of Eid-el-kabir festivities in the state.

Deji Adeyanju, an Abuja-based human rights activist, has berated Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over his recent comments on social media.
Adeyanju said Igbokwe who should be cleaning smelly gutters in Lagos State is making noise on social media.
Igbokwe, who is the Special Adviser on Drainage and Water Resources to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been very outspoken on social media lately.

Bandits treated is well - Baptist school student freed on health grounds
Abductors of 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna have freed one student on the basis of ill health.
The student, it was stated, was returned by two of the abductors.
A source disclosed that the released student had since been taken to the hospital and is gradually recuperating.
The source said the freed students narrated that the bandits were treating them well, adding that the leader of the abductors directed that none of the abductees be molested.
PDP need urgent change of leadership - lawmaker
A member of the House of Representatives from Taraba, Rimamnde Kwewum, says there has to be an immediate change in the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party if it plans to win the 2023 presidential election.
Kwewum, representing Donga/Takum/Yangtu Federal Constituency, said this when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday.
