The recent state congresses that were held across the country exposed the fact the things have not been going well with the members of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Before the congresses, people usually thought that the ruling party had no internal crises among the members of the party compared to other political parties. Now that the congresses have revealed that the party also has unsettled crises, we will check two states where the party is experiencing crises

1. Lagos State

Lagos State is the first state that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is having problems currently because of the fact that there have been factions of the party in the state. The party is supposed to be united altogether as one to fight the opposition party in the state ahead of the upcoming presidential election, but many fragments of the party have existed in a single state.

On Saturday, three different fragments of the All Progressive Congress (APC) held their congresses in Lagos State to elect the new executive members of the party in Lagos State. The congress that was backed up by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was present with other powerful members of the party.

Apart from that congress, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode also held his congress at a thoroughly different venue from that of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As reported by Sahara Reporters that the congress led by Akinwunmi Ambode had the support of the caretaker committee chairman of the party, Mai Mala Buni endorsed the congress led by Ambode according to the report given by Sahara Reporters. Lastly, the leader of the Lagos4Lagos movement known as Jandor also held a congress in Lagos.

2. Osun State

The second state on this list where the All Progressive Congress (APC) is also experiencing crisis is Osun State. The incumbent governor of the state, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola are not on good terms with each other. The Osun Progressive (TOP), a group that was established while Aregbesola was still in power during his administration also held a separate congress that is different from the one which Oyetola backed up.

The two politicians have been exchanging grievances for a while now and the crisis seems not settled. Prominent national politicians have called both Aregbesola and Oyetola to solve the crisis, but the two politicians are yet to resolve the issue.
