The state of insecurity in Nigeria is unbearable at the moment and we just continue to wonder what the government is doing to put an end to this crisis. Bandits have dominated the Northern region while Herdsmen continue to torment the people of the South.
In recent times, Nigerians have felt the need to criticise President Buhari for making things worse in the country. You would agree with me that Nigeria has been battling insecurity since the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan. However, it's clear that what we have today is worse than Jonathan's.
Despite the current challenges, most Northerners have felt the need to support the administration of Buhari. Why would Northerners continue to defend President Buhari? I guess Northerners are being overshadowed with ethnic affiliation. Most Northerners believe Buhari is one of them and doesn't deserve to be criticised.
Nigerian Activist, Reno Omokri has felt the need to address this situation. He said: "I feel sorry for Northerners still attacking anyone criticising @MBuhari. Buhari is not the North. You can like the North and criticise Buhari. Look at the North today. Who is safe in the North. Where is safe in the North? Are you happy with the state of the North?".
