As the president election draws in 2023, every political party in the country have begun the careful selection of its party flag bearer in order to be able to win the election. The candidate the PDP should select is one that can that is intellectual and can easily win be sold to the electorates.
As the primary election draws near, one aspirant that is beginning to pull crowd is former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi. This crowd pulling charisma of Peter Obi was demonstrated in the #1million march for Peter Obi recently conducted in Lagos State.
Although, the people on the street can't guarantee his victory in the forthcoming primary election, as only Party delegates will be allowed to vote during primary elections.
Peter Obi has other political bigger weights like Atiku Abubakar, Anyim Pius Anyim, Bukola Saraki and Nyesom Wike to battle for the ticket of PDP. This is why PDP should make him the consensus candidate ahead of other aspirants.
The PDP vanguard seems to understand the qualities of Peter Obi as they rightly captioned in a tweet:
Nigeria needs a man with this kind of qualities to pilot its affairs at this stage of our development.
