The Federal Ministry of Education has revealed that schools across the country will be reopened on January 18th, 2021. According to the ministry, the date of resumption for schools still remains 18th January.
In a statement released by Mr. Ben Goong, director, press and public relations of Ministry of Education, he noted that this decision not to change the date of resumption was taken after many consultations. This information was made available via the official Twitter handle of Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that it was earlier announced that all schools across the country should resume on January 18th, 2021. But there are some speculations that the resumption of schools on this date may not be possible because of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
This is a good news as the ministry of Education has revealed that schools will still be reopened on the said date.
