In a Ramadan Lecture in Marina Lagos, the national leader said we know when insecurity started but he doesn't want to make excuses. Nigerians will feel safe and also be happy, he said.
President Muhammadu Buhari emerged as the president in 2015 because of his three important electoral promises. Defeating terrorism, Making our economy better and fixing our power issues.
However, he has been President for six years and our security challenges are still there. Naira is struggling against the dollar, which shows our economy has not improved much. The only thing that has gotten better in my State is Power supply.
Ahmed Tinubu said president Muhammadu Buhari can never be happy with the way people are being Kidnapped, displaced, maimed and killed.
The national leader also warned people clamouring for the division of this country and those calling for war to sit down and have a rethink. He said war is never a good thing and Nigeria may end up like Sudan and Iraq if we go to war. Nigeria have not fully recovered from the civil war, he added.
Nigerians are facing many security challenges ranging from terrorism to banditry, kidnapping and militancy. When Channels TV released Tinubu's statement, people have reacted en masse. See their reactions below;
