Commendations are beginning to troop in from different quarters including from admirers, critiques and citizens immediately the news broke out that Cross River State owned airline was airborne to Nigeria from Russia.
Some have condemned it while others are happy for the deep vision conceived by a state Governor who earn very little from the federation account and with a very pitiful internal generated Revenue.
"After almost five Years of flying on the Social Media, finally CALLY AIR has taken off against all odds. With the august take-off, Gov Ayade has succeeded in proving sceptics wrong for the first time.
I must commend him (Governor Ben Ayade) even when i hear the aircraft is a refurbished one. This is because for a state like ours, the airline business will be an important indicator to boost our IGR and a contributor towards the economic development of the state. It will generate economic growth and stimulus, create jobs, and facilitates international trade and tourism.
Even when the proposed airline was not provisioned in Ayade’s “Budget of Deep Vision” for the fiscal year 2016, how CALLY AIR gradually became a reality is quite commendable.
I join all well meaning Cross Riverians to say well-done to His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade. May he succeed even when he deliberately refused to redeem his promise on Okuku-Okpoma-Mfom Road in Yala Local Government Area" , mr Ogar Solomon writes.
