Imo State Majority Leader, Uche Ogbuagu, Impeached.

The Imo State house of assembly majority leader, Uche Ogbuagu has been impeached. The impeachment was announced by Paul Emezim.

Uche Ogbuagu is a member in the Imo state house of assembly representing Ikeduru state constituency. He was elected under the platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP) before decamping to All Progressive Congress (APC). His defection to APC came after Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha was removed by the supreme Court on January 14 and install Senator Hope Uzodimma as the governor of Imo State.

Since the defection of Uche Ogbuagu to APC, he has been having problem with some principal officers of the assembly.

The Imo State government has been experiencing tussle for power since the last election. Over the week, it was a fight between senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of the state and the current governor of the state, Senator Hope Uzodimma over property issues.

Ogbuagu who joined APC to get favour from the current government has now fallen out of favour.
