It no longer news that Nigeria is currently going through one of its dark period largely owning to the national security threat scavenging the country ranging from ethno-religious conflicts, kidnapping, banditry, farmer/herder conflict, terrorism, and insurgency.
However, in a bid to end this menace, the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj.-Gen. Lucky Irabor, said the Military has concluded arrangements to neutralise non-state-actors(Bandits and Boko Haram) terrorizing the country. This he disclosed in a security Summit held on Monday in Abuja.
Groups and persons steering up agitations to destabilize and separate the country were also not left out, as the chief of defense also promised to deal with those clamoring for the disintegration of Nigeria, something Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu have been pioneering.
This is also inline with president Buhari promise to Nigerians to restore and ensure the peace, which have eluded the country for sometime now, and also to stabilise the security situation across the nation, to facilitate law and order, and lastly to provide the enabling environment for development.
This is indeed good news for Nigerians who are hoping for a better Nigeria. Albeit, what do you think about this?
