When people occupies political positions, some d to doecorum are expected of their manners and utterances. But when an Honourable of the hallowed Chambers stoops low to making careless utterances, the people he represents are bound to react, especially when such utterances is against the first citizen of the nation.
Honourable Mansur Mashi is the House of Representatives Member representing Mashi/ Dutsi constituency. He was accused of saying that the only way the country can move forward is for President Buhari to go the way of Yaradua, so that his deputy can take over.
The chairman of the ruling party in the area, Armayau Doka while speaking with news men threatened to start recall proceedings of the law maker if he fails to retract his words.
Speaking on behalf of some members of the ruling party at a press conference, the chairman, Armaya’u Doka, said the comment belittled the APC and members of his constituency in Katsina.
His words, “The honourable said Buhari had to leave the scene the way the late Yar’Adau did, so that his vice, (Prof. Yemi) Osinbajo, would take over, and that such was the only way Nigeria could make progress.”
The law maker was also accused of making some unfavourable remarks against his party and constituency that further infuriated his people. When contacted for comments, the lawmaker was said to have decided to refrain from commenting on the issue as the police is already investigating the case.
