The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says the Federal Government has done everything with meager resources to stimulate the economy.
He made the remark on Saturday when he featured on Channels Tv Sunrise programme.

The Minister noted that Nigeria exited recession because of the painstaking effort of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that many countries have been affected by the economic downturn of COVID-19.
When told by the anchor of the Saturday Sunrise that the United States has given its citizens bailout funds to cushion the effect of the COVID-19, Lai Mohammed said that Nigeria has done the same.
Lai Mohammed stated that the reason it seems the Federal Government is not doing enough is that the people benefiting from the bailout funds are not likely to speak up.
He said, “We are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of lives and the security of farmers. That’s because, if there is insecurity, it can kill Agriculture.
“We have Survival Funds, and it went to 500,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The aim is to ensure that they don’t retrench their workers. So it is a form of bailout.
“Our Conditional cash transfer today is reaching 3.6 million people. We have the N-Power, we have the FarmerMoni, MarketMoni, TraderMoni, and these bailouts reach millions of people.
“But you see, people that are benefitting are not likely to come out and say that they are benefitting and that is why we arranged for a testimony series sometime in 2018 for Nigerians to hear from those who are benefitting.
“So, people benefitting from bailout funds in Nigeria are more than 10 million.”
