5 Years After She Left Office As First Lady, See How Patience Jonathan Looks Now (PHOTOS)

If there is one first lady that thrilled us, then it has to be Dame Patience Jonathan. She is such a mother with a great heart, a woman who feels the pain and bears the burden of others. I can recall vividly when she broke down in tears as Chibok girls were adopted.

It was a smooth ride for her as first lady and luckily for her, she is married to a great father and leader, Mr Goodluck Jonathan.

Who is Dame Patience Jonathan?

Dame Patience Jonathan is a former FirstAdy of Nigeria and wife of former Governor of Bayelsa State and also former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Patience Jonathan was born on October 25, 1957 and she served as a Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa State.

A lot of people think she is not educated because of the kind of English she speaks, but the truth is that Dame Patience Jonathan is educated.

She was born in Port-Harcourt and she earned her school certificate in 1976 and in 1980, she obtained West African School Certificate (WASC).

She then proceeded to Rivers State College of Arts and Science in Port-Harcourt where she obtained National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Biology, and then proceeded to University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) where she obtained Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in Biology and Psychology.

What was Dame Patience Jonathan doing before she became Permanent Secretary and First Lady?

Dame Patience Jonathan started her career as a teacher at the Stella Maris College in Port-Harcourt and in 1997, she moved into the banking sector where she served as the Marketing Manager of Imiete Community Bank.

She later returned to classroom as a teacher and was transferred to the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education where she served and resigned in 1999.

She was appointed as Permanent Secretary in 2012 after she has served as a civil servant for over 13 years and she became the First Lady of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015.

Five years after she left office as first lady, see how she looks now.

Who still remember some of her phrases? Go me, I still remember "There is God oo!", what about you?
