The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Elections today amidst low voter turnout in some areas. Cases of voter intimidation and thugs instigating violence were reported in some polling units and this has left Nigerians with the question; "is there any difference between the Presidential and Gubernatorial Elections conducted by INEC?". Reacting to the conduct of elections today across Nigeria, the Chairman of Center For Democracy and Development (CDD) Election Analysis Center, Professor Adele Jinadu has said that there is an improvement on the election conducted today as compared to the one conducted three weeks ago.
Speaking on Arise News in an interview that is currently being aired live, Jinadu said that the reports they have received so far indicate that INEC has done much better than the commission did last time (February 25).
