Ever since the endsars protests began in Nigeria, there have been lots of crises beginning with the carnage at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos.The Nigeria Government has tried to bring the protests to a stop. Its focus is mainly on social media through which most of the bloody activities were showcased, hence calling most of the graphic evidences products of Photoshop and then fining three tv stations that displayed some of the videos.
The most recent is freezing of the bank accounts of the young endsars protesters. The Central Bank was given a court order to freeze the bank accounts of the young endsars protesters. This development, however, did not go down well with a lot of personalities including Oby Ezekwesili.
The 2018 Nobel Peace Prize nominee took to her Twitter handle this morning to blast President Buhari regarding the frozen accounts. In her tweet, she told the president that he is threading a most dishonourable path abusing our public institution in that vengeful muscling of our young citizens. She also asked his to retrace his stepsnow and unfreeze the bank accounts of the young protesters Nationwide.
