As the PDP National Convention is fast approaching, the South-West Zone of the party seems to be warming up to produce the Next National Chairman of the Party. All things being equal, below is a List of Two Ex-Governors from the South-West that may replace the Incumbent PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus
Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, The Ex-Governor of Osun State has not hidden his ambition to become the Next PDP National Chairman, he is a Founding Member of the Party. Oyinlola has the political experience to manage and run the affairs of the PDP at National Level having served as a Military Administrator in Lagos State and a Civilian Governor in Osun State.
Also, The 70years-old Politician has the Support of PDP bigwigs including the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde who is the leader of the party in the South-West Region. Thus, Oyinlola may have an easy ride in his quest to become the PDP National Chairman.
Another Prominent Ex-Governor that may succeed Uche Secondus is Ayodele Fayose, the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State. Even though, The 60years-old Fayose is yet to make his ambition public, there are indications that he might join the National Chairmanship Race anytime from now.
Fayose, a dogged fighter has a strong political structure in the South-west especially in Ekiti State where he hails from. Also, he has the support of Top PDP Chieftains in the Northern part of the Country.
Who among the duo do you think is best qualified to succeed Prince Uche Secondus?
