The Anambra gubernatorial election, scheduled to hold on the 6th of November is gradually approaching.
Though the state have faced with so much insecurities. A lot of residents may be scared of voting for fear of uncertainty.
However, the issue of insecurity during voting periods shouldn't be much of a problem anymore, especially with the advancement of technology.
Below is a voting method which Anambra state government can adopt, in other to get the Anambra state residents to vote for their preferred candidate, and to also reduce the rate of rigging such Election.
Since the Nigerian government have already started to adopt electronic voting, the best era of Electronic-Voting that would be suitable for Nigerians would be when we can remotely vote with our phones, without physically having to go to the polling units.
This could be achieved starting with the scanning of barcodes on our voter's card with our phones, together with fingerprints identification and authentication with our phones, before finally submitting the votes online all with a smart phone.
Although, this wouldn't stop the manual voting methods at the polling units, for the sake of those who may not have access to smart phones.
With this method, Anambra election can be completely achieved, elections can also have turnouts as high as over 98%, as many citizens would be given an opportunity to vote from home.
