Oyo Assembly Orders Sacked APC ALGON Chairmen to Return Government Properties in their Custody
Following the Judgment of the Court of Appeal, Ibadan division that ruled in favor of the appellant, Governor Seyi Makinde on a case between the Oyo State Government and the sacked APC ALGON Chairmen, the Oyo state House of Assembly has ordered the sacked APC ALGON chairmen return all government's properties in their custody back to their various councils.
The House gave the directive during its Thursday's plenary after it has considered a matter of urgent public importance and adopted its prayers.
While ruling on the matter of urgent public importance, the speaker of the house, Rt. hon. Adebo Ogundoyin noted that the House gave the directive in conformity with the laws of the land, thus, all the government's properties in the custody of the various sacked APC ALGON chairmen should be returned with immediate effect.
You will recall that Justice Haruna Tsamani, the lead judge of the appeal court, Ibadan Division, after considering all evidence and submissions of both legal teams, upheld the validity of the Oyo state government and voided the case of the APC ALGON chairmen with the claim that the case was premature in the court.
