Just some minutes to when the governorship primaries of APC in Ondo would commence, two aspirants has given up and dropped their ambition of becoming the next governor of Ondo State. The two aspirants (Jimi Odimayo and Nathaniel Adojutelegan)that withdrew were said to have declared themselves as supporters to Akeredolu.
The two aspirants are just new in the political space and believe they needed time to fit in.
On Sunday, Ife Oyedele also withdrew from the race, stepping down for Akeredolu.
Segun Abraham who was one of the top contenders for the governorship seat in 2016 also withdrew. it was also discovered that the reason why the withdrew was because they believed they were not going to be successful in the governorship election.
The big question now is that, why are they withdrawing in the last minute? is it that they just came to cause distractions? or were there scared that they would loss at the end?
