Obviously, Lagos state is really working on providing a conducive and better environment from her citizen. Few days ago, the people of Lagos state launched a campaign against dirty market. While talking in one of the meeting, the wife to Lagos state governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-olu said the cleanliness and hygiene of Lagos State is paramount and very necessary.
In lieu of this, the Chairman of Lagos State Wharf Landing Fee Collective Agency, a renowned APC member and also the special adviser to Lagos State governor on Drainage and water resources, Joe Igbokwe, has taken to his official Facebook page to share the condition of a canal in Lagos state.
According to Joe Igbokwe, he sad himself and an elected lawmaker, Desmond Elliot went to assess a canal today. On his page, Joe Igbokwe said "I , Hon Desmond Elliot, Engr Adegbite, Engr Adekoya, Residents, Stakeholders Visited part of System 5 via Bishop Crowther, Fagbenro, and Osinkalu axis today for on the spot assessment of the state of the Canal before dredging starts."

As seen in the pictures above, the condition of the canal is very bad. Polluted areas like this will not only affect the health of the people in that vicinity alone, it can also cause a great havoc if there is heavy rainfall.
According to Joe Igbokwe, he said a very serious dredging will soon commence and all the dirt will be removed.
Indeed, Joe Igbokwe is really functioning as the drainage and water resources personnel and so many people are happy about this.
