Some days ago, the candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP), Dr Ifeanyi Ubah took his campaign to Lagos state. His campaign vehicles were spotted moving on major roads in Lagos while some supporters cheered along.

According to a report reaching us from Daily Post, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Ozigbo moved his campaign to Asaba, Delta State, on 12th October.

Judging from the recent attacks in Anambra state, the writer would be correct by saying that their reasons for campaigning in other states are closely related to the high level of Insecurity in Anambra.

Campaigning in other states sends a signal that Anambra is not safe, and this signal will likely be picked by many people if the governorship candidates continue to hold campaigns outside the state.

If they continue to hold campaigns in other states, there might be a low turn up at polling units because voters in the state didn't feel the impact of their campaigns.

Campaigns are meant to create awareness and win the hearts of voters, and this awareness is supposed to be created in Anambra to convince voters in the state.
