Ambode's Ally Speaks On Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour's Chances Of Winning The Lagos Governorship Election

A close associate of former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and a Former Lagos state Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Wale Oluwo has spoken about the chances of the Lagos Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour to win the upcoming election. Speaking in an interview with Yoruba Tooto Tv, Wale Oluwo stated that it's imperative to note that the election in Lagos State is about the Youths of the state.

He analyzed that the Youths appears to be on the Labour Party more than any other party and that this gives them an upper hand going into the polls. He specified that the governorship contest is a keen contest between the Labour Party and APC. But he claimed that the Labour Party emerges to have an upper hand due to the series of events in the last couple of years in Lagos state.

He said, ''We are not God but we are politicians and we know how politics work on the field. We have different types of voters in this upcoming election. They are sectioned into five different categories. We have the elderly voters, we have the Youths voters, we have the Yoruba voters, and we have the non-Yorubas who are namely Hausas or Igbos. And then we have the educated ones.

In this five categories, the Youths have a larger number in every unit. They are the ones calling the shot, they are about 75 percent of the voters. And any party that does not have the support of the youths can not win an election. The Lagos Youths are following Labour Party so that is why they are the ones to beat in the contest. GRV have an higher chance.''
