According to the Tribune, a close ally of Saraki, Alhaji Kawu Baraje recently gave an hint that the North-Central wants the PDP Presidential Ticket, not PDP Chairmanship Position. However, this might be an indication that Saraki, a Former Governor of Kwara State is warming to contest for President in 2023 as the North-Central is yet to produce a President since 1999

Also, His Home State, Kano has a large voting strength. Considering all the above mentioned factors, Kwankwaso might sought for the 2023 PDP Presidential Ticket.
