President Buhari Wishes Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama A Quick Recovery From Covid-19

The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Sunday, July 19 took it to his verified twitter page to wish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema a quick recovery as he tested positive for Covid-19.

Onyema who is the current and serving Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Buhari and his All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration is the first Minister to contract the new COVID-19 and has since been isolated.

Onyema is one respected Nigerian who in his capacity is serving this country as an ambassador and Minister of Foreign Affairs. It's sad to hear that the ravaging monster virus, COVID-19 has traced him to his abode and we pray for quick recovery.

On his twitter account where he announced his positive test results tweeted;

"Did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best."

Meanwhile, few hours after Geoffrey's tweet, President Muhammadu Buhari also tweeted to wish him a quick recovery. This came very quickly and timely. The president through the COVID-19 task force committee has been up and doing, putting necessary measures in place to curb further spread of the new COVID-19 and making sure that everyone follows the guidelines for safety purposes.

See President Muhammadu Buhari's tweet below;

"I wish @GeoffreyOnyeama speedy recovery from Covid-19. Nigeria is eternally grateful for his diligence in attracting international support to defeat the pandemic and boost the economy. He has been a tiredless worker and strong pillar of our administration."

Many people still don't believe that COVID-19 pandemic is seriously ravaging the country and has crippled several businesses and forced schools to shut down not to endanger the lives of students. But I'm sure that the more governments at the centre, down to the States levels continue to create Awareness, people will learn to follow the stated guidelines as we hope for a vaccine.
