Apapa Attempted To Withdraw Peter Obi Court Case But Judge Reprimanded His Lawyer - Barrister Edun

Kehinde Edun, legal advisor to the Labour Party, claims that Lamidi Apapa's wing of the party attempted to have the petition withdrawn that the Labour Party and Peter Obi, the party's presidential candidate, filed in court disputing Bola Tinubu's victory.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria recruited by Apapa and his gang, he stated during Friday's tribunal sessions, said he was instructed to represent Labour Party. Edun claims the judge explicitly stated the attorney cannot represent the party because he did not submit the petition. He further claimed that the judge had criticized the attorney.

I informed you about Apapa and his group filing letters to all the tribunals trying to withdraw our petitions," Barrister Edun said. They tried to do so today at the presidential election tribunal by presenting a senior counsel who claimed to have only just been briefed. However, the court admonished the senior advocate, saying that, as a senior attorney, he should have known better and not filed the petition. The petition will be signed by the petitioners and their lawyers or legal representatives when the petition is filed. And now someone has gone to court claiming, "I've just briefed him."
