After the just concluded 2023 Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives Election, the Labour Party managed to occupy some of the seats at the National Assembly. Here are some of the names the Labour Party (LP) candidates that won their Senatorial District Elections.

Darlington Nwokocha

Darlington Nwokocha of the Labour Party (LP) was announced as the winner of the February 25 election for Abia Central Senatorial District. Professor Herbert Udo, INEC Returning Officer in Umuahia, declared Nwokocha as the winner, having scored 92,116 votes over Col. Augustine Akobundu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who came second with 41,447 votes.

Victor Umeh

Victor Umeh is a Nigerian politician and a candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded election where he was declared the winner of the 2023 Anambra Central Senatorial District election over Ekwunife of PDP and Dozie Nwankwo of APGA.

Tony Nwoye

Tony Nwoye of the Labour Party (LP) defeated Senator Stella Oduah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mrs. Ebele Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) where was emerged as the winner of the Anambra North Senatorial District Election.

Neda Imasuen

Neda Imasuen is a Nigerian politician and lawyer. He was announced as the winner of the contestants, after defeating the two major political parties the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where Imasuen polled 167,250 votes while his closest rival, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen of the PDP garnered 61,749; and Valentine Asuen of the APC scored 57,933. Imasuen of the Labour Party was declared winner of the Edo State South Senatorial District Election by Professor Julius Obasuyi.

Heeba Ireti Kingibe

Heeba Ireti Kingibe is a Nigerian politician who defeated Senator Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ms. Kingibe ended Senator Aduda 12 years of Senatorial career by defeating him with 202,175. Habeeb Ireti is the only woman under the platform of the Labour Party (LP) that won the FCT Senatorial Election.
