‘God not happy with Buhari govt’ – Nigerian pastor carries coffin in protest
The General Overseer of Resurrection Praise Ministry, Archbishop Samson Benjamin, has claimed that God is not happy with President Buhari government. The man of God stated this when he protested against the Buhari administration on Sunday in Lagos.
During the protest, the Bishop carried a coffin as he marched through the streets of Festac. He claimed God asked him to do so because he is not happy with the government and the state of the nation.
The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodima has revealed what Ndigbo needs. He stated this while speaking at the first South-East security meeting in Owerri.
According to Hope Uzodinma, Ndigbo has not been fairly treated in the Nigerian federation and what it needs is justice, equity and fairness. He added that what Ndigbo needs at this point is not separatism as exemplified by the Biafra agitation.
APC distributes 130 trucks of food items in Zamfara
On Sunday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) distributed 130 trucks of assorted food items to the less privileged in Zamfara state, ahead of Ramadan fast.
The recent development was disclosed by the Former Gov. Abdulaziz Yari. The food items included 54 trucks of 50 kg bags of rice, 32 trucks of 50 kg bags of sugar, 22 trucks of maize and 22 trucks of millet.
Ramadan: Islamic leadership issues directives to Muslims
On Sunday, The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) advised Muslims to take extra security and health measures to protect themselves during the Ramadan fast.
In a statement issued by Zubairu Usman-Ugwu, the Director of Administration, he stated that all Muslims must practice social distancing when looking out for the crescent.
