There are several politicians and powerful personalities whose death has been announced and listed as a result of COVID-19 infection.
Abba Kyari, the 67 years old man was tested positive for Coronavirus on the 24th of March.
He was the presidential aide to President Buhari, kyari struggled with the virus until the 17th of April when he died to complications at a private hospital in the Ikoyi neighborhood of Lagos State. He was laid to rest on the 18th of April in the Gudu cemetery, at Abuja.
Senator Osinowo, for 16 years, was a member of Lagos State House of Assembly, he departed on 15th of June at 64 years.
Suleiman Adamu died after a brief illness on the 30th of April, he was a member of Nasarawa State House of Assembly. An autopsy was done on him after a few days of his death and was tested positive for Coronavirus.
Two lawmakers in Borno State House of Assembly; Wakil Bukar and Umar Jauro Audi, were similarly announced to have died of COVID-19 in May. Statements from the state, quoted from sources close to them confirmed that two statesmen died of Coronavirus.
Shuaibu Danlami who was a worker at Government's House in Gombe and was likewise a member of the task force on COVID-19 in the State. He died of COVID-19 on the 31st of May.
Former Ondo State Commissioner of Health, Wahab Adegbenro, died as a result of complications from COVID- 19. He was an aboriginal of Ilara-Mokin, at Ifedore LGA of Ondo state.
Aminu Adisa Logun, who was the Chief of staff to the Governor of Kwara State until the 7th of July, when he was reported to have died of Coronavirus complications.
Tunde Buraimoh, who was a member of the House of Assembly, Lagos State chapter. One of his colleagues announced that he died of Coronavirus. Sources close to him explained that he might have contracted the virus from late Senator Osinowo because he was one of his tight confidants.
