OPINION: PDP Misunderstood What Buhari Meant When He Vowed To Retain Seat Beyond 2023

Flashback to when APC opposition party, the People Democratic Party (PDP) accused President Muhammadu Buhari of having selfish interest in his administration.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) reacted to the allegation on Tuesday, stating that President Muhammadu Buhari has no plan to stay beyond 2023 in office.

Mr John Akpanudoehede, who is APC interim National Secretary, told the Nation Newspaper to ignore the allegation of the PDP's over President Muhammadu Buhari and defended APC's move ahead of It National Convention.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) louded to People Democratic Party, PDP that after their Congress and the National Convention, they will shock the members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) by bringing a consensus and a qualify candidate that will win the 2023 Presidential election and fly the flag of the APC's, concluding that APC has no third term agenda like PDP.

Why PDP accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of Self-determination:

The reason behind the accusation of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is because President Muhammadu Buhari vowed to retain the Presidential seat beyond 2023.

My opinion toward President Muhammadu Buhari statement:

In my opinion, I think the PDP's misunderstood this statement by President Buhari.

This statement by the president simply mean that members of the All Progressive Congress, APC are putting on efforts to retain power rotation within members of it party, not with force but by winning the heart of voters by ruling in favour of everyone.
