President Muhammadu Buhari who is the twenty-third child of his father was raised by his mother after the demise of his father at a tender age of four years old.

President Muhammadu Buhari made history in 2015 when he defeated the incumbent President Goodluck Johnathan in the March 2015 general election, after failing to win the Nigeria seat of power in the 2003, 2007 and 2011 general elections. It marked the first time an incumbent President will lost an election to an opposition candidate in a general election. He was then reelected in the February 23, 2019 general election overwhelmingly.
