Two Cases The APC Must Resolve Early To Retain Power By 2023

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)'s nagging problems are daily panning out as crises without end. Efforts of stakeholders to resolve the logjam have always hit a brick wall, as their activities usually end in a deadlock. In this article, we look at two things the APC must resolve to retain power by 2023.

1. Governor Buni

One major case the APC must resolve early, is the case of the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

The leadership of Governor Buni, the caretaker chairman of the APC has been an issue ever since he took over the role of chairmanship.

He has been faced with a barrage of criticisms from within the party as many views his appointment as a clear violation of the APC constitution which forbids officers of the party from holding any executive position in government. If the APC does not put their house together sooner than letter, they might not be able to retain power by 2023.

2. Parallel Congresses

Another case to be resolved in the APC is that of the just concluded state congresses in some states. Some States had parallel congresses, while some had a peaceful Congress.

The factions in the APC are becoming too much, which might make some defect or create their party. We know that politics is a game of numbers. If the factions continue to increase and members begin to dump the party, then the PDP will be unbeatable.
