Dr. Kabir Bello who is the current Rector of Kano State Polytechnic succeeded professor Muktar Atiku Kurawa who was appointed the Vice Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama University by the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Alhaji Kabir Muhammad Inuwa is the first Emir of Rano Emirate, he was the former District Head of Kibiya, Kano State. He was appointed by the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
