According to him, his visit most especially in Anambra State, was to educate and enlighten the youths, on the need to maintain peace and orderliness before, during and after elections, as well as to preach to them, on the need to embrace peace and shun all manner of thuggery and violence during the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State. "This is the only way to build a stronger and more united nation," he added.
Recall that, the popular Nigerian artiste alongside members of his “Vote Not Fight: Election No Be War,” Initiative, reportedly paid a special visit to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, in Awka, Anambra State, on Thursday, 14th October, 2021.
In another report, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, in a bid to create a conducive and enabling environment that will guarantee the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming election in Anambra State, deployed 34,587 police personnel and three Police Helicopters to the State.
According to the IGP, the Police Force conducted an Election Security Threat Analysis and also developed a strategic election security operational plan to stabilize the prevailing security situation in the state.
