The Tiv Youth Organisation, TYO, has declared Solomon Semaka & Co as traitors and persona non-grata for working against the Tiv nation to favour those who have waged war on the Tiv people and Benue State.
Solomon Semaka and his friends conferred an ward on a Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore leader Alh Dr Abdullahi Bello Bodejo whose group has consistently claimed responsibility for the killings by herdsmen in Benue State.
In a press statement signed by the President-General of the Tiv Youth Organisation Timothy Hembaor, said Solomon Semaka and his friends do not represent the interest of the Tiv people by any standard rather they are enemies of the Tiv nation.
The statement reads: "The attention of Tiv Youth Organisation (TYO) has been drawn to the activities of a group going under the nomenclature of “Tiv Unity Forum” being led by one Solomon Semaka.
"The activities of this group, very unfortunately, have so far included addressing a press conference at which they labelled the Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Samuel Ortom and his crusade against the conquest agenda of jihadist Fulani forces as deceitful.
"The group also conferred awards on notable Fulani leaders who over time have publicly taken responsibility for the killing of countless people in Tivland as well as the destruction of property.
"TYO, as the umbrella organisation of Tiv youths worldwide, is aware that the group carrying out these nefarious activities is made up of individuals who may do ANYTHING for pecuniary gain, and in this instance too, are being paid by Fulani jihadist agents to mount the campaign
"Solomon Semaka and his cohorts are, by their actions, impostors since they have no mandate whatsoever to speak or act on behalf of any Tiv man, woman or child anywhere on earth, save for themselves or their children, if any, who are minors.
"It is further the understanding, regretfully of TYO that the same band of mercenaries dragging the good name of Tiv to disrepute by their unconscionable actions, have held the Tiv nation in abject contempt and desecrated the graves of countless men, women and children butchered in cold blood by the same agents of Jihadist Fulani conquest and land-grab agenda who were so honoured with awards.
"TYO, therefore, hereby declares Solomon Semaka and his partners-in-crimes against Tiv nation as 'persona non grata' in any part of Tivland.
"It is by this declaration a sacred duty of every Tiv youth to ensure that wherever in Tivland those skunks and enemies of Tiv nation are found they be treated as traitors and pariahs that they are and no reasonable Tiv man or woman should have anything to do with the traitors.
"Lastly, we wish to remind anyone who may toe the line of Semaka and co in future about the weighty words of the Paramount Ruler of the Tiv nation, His Royal Majesty, the Tor Tiv, Prof James Ayatse when he declared that any son or daughter of Tiv land who connives with our enemies to kill our people, the soil of the Tiv nation will swallow such a person."
