According to Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, "the manipulation of the rule of law and the repression of popular will are effective methods for destroying societies. These methods will be used in the February 28th Presidential and National Assembly Elections."
"On the eve of Saturday's rescheduled Governorship and State Assembly Elections," he made this statement in a letter to Nigerians.
According to Vanguard, Obi urged Nigerians in a letter headlined "A new Nigeria is again feasible on the 18th of March" to go to the polls on Saturday to cast their votes in the governorship and state assembly elections, notwithstanding the INEC's misconduct during the February 25th presidential elections."
In part, Obi's letter said, "On February 25, 2023, millions of Nigerians from all walks of life, from all decades and backgrounds, from Borno to Lagos, from Port Harcourt to Sokoto, from Kano to Enugu, from Taraba to Ondo, voted strongly and decisively to take back their nation."
According to him, They cast their ballots for a New Nigeria and the Labour Party, respectively. "I'd want to express my sincere gratitude to all Nigerians for their unwavering dedication and true belief that we can create a New Nigeria. It has already begun, therefore it is doable!"
Vanguard reported, "We traveled around Nigeria, our most blessed and beautiful country, during the campaigns. We spoke with you, listened to you, and took notes. The millions of young Nigerians who invested fervently in their country left us feeling most humbled."
According to him, "Let me stress that our team is addressing all of these issues through all appropriate legal and peaceful avenues, and I continue to call on each of you to maintain peace and observance of the law."
Vanguard further reported, "Despite these setbacks, we are unfazed and continue to be steadfastly devoted to the struggle for a New Nigeria since the idea's time has come. Thus, my dear brothers and sisters, Datti Baba-Ahmed and I beg you to believe that the birth of a New Nigeria is feasible."
