Senator John Akpanudoehede, National Secretary, APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC had stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC will come up with a consensus and agreeable presidential candidate that will fly its flag in 2023.

However, this particular revelation by the National Secretary have continued to generate mixed reactions from the public. In view of that, here is the reason why President Muhammadu Buhari May likely back Osibanjo to emerge APC consensus candidate.

Continuation Of Projects, Policies And Program Started By Buhari's Administration.
There are several projects, policies and programs started by the Buhari administration since assumption of office as the president of Nigeria. Some of the programs include; Social Investment Program which comprises of the N-Power, Trader Moni, Market Moni, Farmer Moni, 774,000 Social Workers and the Home Feeding Program.
However, as president Buhari prepares to hand over power in 2023, he may likely back Osinbajo who he believes will continue with these laudable programs.

Also, it is believed that Buhari May likely not complete some of his capital projects before the end of his tenure. Some of these projects include; the construction of rail lines, Mambilla power plant and some federal roads in the country.

Going by the above, Buhari may prefer to back Osibanjo who he has worked with for years to emerge as APC consensus candidate which will boost his chances of becoming Nigeria president after 2023.
