Nigerians are expecting a lot from the federal government, the decision to lock down major activities in the country was a good one. But the fact remain that when coronavirus newly broke out, very country tries to shut down all activities in other to study this virus and stop it spread. Nigeria also was not left out in this decision making.
For the period of five weeks during march, April and even may when we experienced our total down. Then we are struggling for less than 1500 confirmed coronavirus cases, but on the 4th of may the lock down was lifted by federal government in other to allow the opening of essential activities in the country. This is was guided with laid down rules by the government to help mange the spread of the virus.
Presently confirmed cases have increase to over 30,000 and yet this essential activities are still going on. The point here is that why they where less than 50 cases everybody was at home and now that is have increased no more lock down in some sectors.
The fact that schools and churches are still lock down is not a good ideal at all, these places are well organised and can manage the spread of the virus unlike markets. Nigerian are expecting government to open the other sectors because they are very important to the society and economic at large.
