There was an outcry on social media when President Muhammadu Buhari announced on the 30th of March that he will travel to London for medical check-up and relaxation. Some Nigerians were against it because they believe the timing is wrong.
Pictures of Protesters at the Abuja House;
After Buhari used some days in London, Reno Omokri started a protest at the Abuja House and tagged it #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon. The demonstrators at the Protest were demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari should return back to Nigeria to solve our security challenges and also attend to resident doctors that are on strike.
This protest lasted for many days and even though there was a counter demonstration of those that were showing support for the president, Reno and other protesters still continued.
Buhari back at the Airport in Nigeria;
However, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR has returned to Nigeria today. Some hours after the presidential jet landed, Reno Omokri has reacted. He vowed to return to protest if the president travels to London for medical check-up again.
Lauretta Onochie, an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari posted pictures of him at the airport, welcoming him back to the country and Bulama Mustapha, a popular cartoonist for daily trust newspaper has reacted.
However, unlike the reactions I'm expecting from him, he chose to shower the president with prayers. "@MBuhari May illness be far from you. May you never need to go for another medical checkup again. May your administration upgrade our healthcare system to a level that can NOT ONLY check you (if need be), but provide healthcare services to Presidents of other countries. Ameen", he prayed.
Do you think president Muhammadu Buhari can build an hospital where Presidents from other countries can come for medical check-up?
