Oyo State Now Looks Like A Foreign Country, See Photos

Oyo State is one of the states in South Western part of Nigeria. The state was created in February,1976 together with seven other states from the twelve existing states of the federation.

Administratively, the state was divided into thirty-three local government areas of Ibadan North-West,Ibadan North-East,Ibadan North, Egbeda, Akinyele,Afijio,Ido, Ibarapa Central,Ibadan South-East,Ibadan South-West, Ogbomosho North,Lagelu,Kajola,Irepo,Iseyin, Ogbomosho South,Oyo West,Atiba,Atisbo,Saki West, Saki East,Itesiwaju, Iwajowa,Ibarapa North,Olorunsogo,Oluyole,Ogo, Surulere,Orelope,Ori, Oyo East and Ona Ara.

Though, the state has suffered setbacks from successive governments in the past, but the current government led by Seyi Makinde is doing a wonderful job in the state presently.

The state capital city and the state at large have received a facelift with the emergence of the present governor, Seyi Makinde.

The state can now boast of good road network with street and traffic lights; overhead bridges institutions of higher learning; shopping malls, relaxation facilities,modern open markets, financial institutions, hotels hospitals nightclubs and lots more.
