During the commissioning of Okochiri Internal Roads, the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, stated that there are politicians that will come and just talk to people just for the sake of getting their vote. Wike urged his supporters not to equate them with those kinds of politicians.
He further stated that there's nothing the people have asked him that he has not done. He revealed that he's leaving office fulfilled and happy after meeting the wishes and aspirations of the people.
According to him, "There are politicians and there are politicians. There are politicians that will come and talk to you just for the sake of getting the vote. We're not that group of politicians. We're politicians that when we come and meet you and say look, give us support, we'll do this and then you can attest to the fact. That it's no longer, oh, politics. We don't want people to equate us with those kinds of politicians. I can be bold to come to your place. You can't ask him, oh, but you made promises of new roads. No you can't ask me."
