FG Approves Survival Fund Payment For 155,000 Transporters

The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is Committed in making sure Nigerians are relieved from the losses encountered during the Covid-19 lockdown.


Recently, The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Katagum said since the enumeration of the first set of beneficiaries on January 17, 2021, a total of 155,920 beneficiaries in the transport track of the Federal Government’s Survival Fund have been approved for payment.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the minister disclosed this at two separate virtual interactive sessions Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo had with the beneficiaries.

The statement read, “The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Katagum, said since the enumeration of the first set of beneficiaries on January 17, 2021, a total of 155,920 beneficiaries in the transport track have so far been approved for payment while 9,109 pending cases are being processed for payment.


Group Condemns Sunday Igboho, Nnamdi Kanu's Declaration Of Sovereignty

Recently, The Nigeria National Summit Group (NNSG) have condemned those declaring sovereignty of some sections of the country. The group warned those involved to stop calling for Nigeria’s break up.

The rights Activists, Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu had both declared sovereignty for the Oduduwa Republic and Independent People of Biafra respectively.

NNSG also condemned what it called unilateral declarations of Independence by some persons and sections of the country.

Mr Tony Uranta, Executive Secretary of the NNSG, made this known in a statement after the group’s emergency virtual assembly on Monday.


Northern Elders Blame President Buhari For North/South Division

The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari have frowned at the constant attacks lunched by bandits, Boko Haram and Herdsmen in some Northern states.


Recently, The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has blamed the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for the calls by different groups for the eviction of citizens from some parts of the country.

Through a statement on Monday, The Northern Elders Forum spokesperson, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, said such threats by different groups have become popular because the government has not shown much will to address the situation.
