Recall that the southern governors converged for the first time in Asaba, Delta State where decisions on the ban on open grazing were made. The meeting was hosted by the Governor of Delta State, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa at the State House.
The second meeting of the southern governors was held in Lagos State. In the meeting, the governors finalized the decision to ban open grazing, among others as agreed on their first meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government house.
In a recent report, the southern governors will be meeting on Thursday, 16th September 2021 in Enugu State Capital City.
The agenda for the coming meeting is not yet known but according to insinuations, the meeting will touch security and the coming general election in 2023.
During the last meeting, the governors agreed to enact the ban on open grazing fixing on September 1st, 2021 as the deadline.
