Meanwhile, there are two major aspects the anti-open grazing bill passed by the Delta State House of Assembly would prohibit the open grazing route which are:

I) Indiscriminate breeding: this means that in totality, breeding livestock to sale for money has probably been put to an end without discriminating or selecting whom to breed and who not to breed livestock in the state.

II) Rearing and marketing of livestock: this means that henceforth, there will no longer be rearing of livestock and marketing it for the purpose of making money. Though, not all the livestock will be prohibited to be reared in the state.

In reacting to the bill, the Speaker of the House, Sherrif Oborevwori expressed great gratitude stressing that the residents and people of the State would be very happy that the bill was passed, stressing that well-meaning persons, who seek to carry on with the business of breeding, rearing and marketing of livestock should do so within the boundaries of the law. He also said that farmers can now go to their business without fear of anyone grazing on their crops.
