Gov Emmanuel donates land for proposed Air Traffic School

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has given a 30-hectare land for the proposed Air Traffic School to immortalise the previous Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Nsikak Eduok

The Governor introduced a Certificate of Occupancy for the property to the Air Marshal Amoo while a sympathy visit over the death of the previous Airforce Chief, Air Marshal Nsikak Eduok, proclaiming the preparation of the state government to reinforce its association with the Nigerian military in its preparation and coordinations needs. 

He uncovered that the terminal structure under development in the state-claimed air terminal once finished will offer an in-country Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) office that would uphold the preparation office without need for Foreign exchange 

As indicated by him, "our significant entryways of Development are at cutting edge stage. Our street network is truly outstanding in the entire country. Discussion about air, our air terminal has an updated class two runway that can in any case take business flights even in terrible climate. 

"When we finish our terminal structure, it will have no rival in Africa. Indeed, even our runway is worked as an appropriate runway so it can serve whenever we need to restore the fundamental runway. So you can't have air preparing school anyplace in this country better than in Akwa Ibom. 

"We have a great deal as far as foundation that we can partner. Our MRO will before long be prepared, so flying your airplanes abroad for overhauling will no more be whimsical. Pay us naira, utilize our offices and you save your unfamiliar trade". 

Governor Emmanuel spoke to the Chief of the Air Staff and other military chiefs to improve on the quota allocated  Akwa Ibom individuals for recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force and other military administrations in the country. 

Talking at Ibom Hall Ground in Uyo during the burial service of Late previous Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Nsikak Eduok(Rtd), Governor Emmanuel said with the prestigious real credits of Akwa Ibom indigenes, the state indigenes ought to be given more open doors in the military services in the country.
